A beginner's Hatha Yoga series is an excellent way to introduce yourself to the fundamentals of Yoga. This series focuses on building body awareness, balance and strength. Together we will break down some of the basic postures taught in most Yoga classes while utilizing props, like blocks and blankets, to assist our bodies in finding just the right modification for us. We will gently stretch the body while promoting relaxation and mental clarity. In the first class we will hit some basics and use that class as a stepping stone to the next and so on, repeating postures as we go while also introducing new ones each class. Each session we will also emphasize breathing techniques to enhance the connection between mind and body. With consistent practice, beginners can expect to improve their physical health, reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of inner awareness. This series lasts two weeks meeting Tuesday & Wednesday evenings each week. As well, you are able to take advantage of a month long cultivation of building a Yoga habit by attending as many classes as you like over 30- days. This is a great way to explore our studio, instructors and the various classes we offer.
Start something new that is just for YOU!
Toni Brannan has been instructing Beginners Yoga for five years and has specialty training specific to teaching beginners. She loves going back to the basics again and again with a fresh perspective each time and a new set of excited, nervous and curious students (excitement, nervousness & curiosity - all normal!)
